Requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate.
- Minimum 3-years experience in youth development (particularly working with communities).
- Sound computer literacy and report writing.
- Non-smoker with sober habits.
Skills and competencies:
- Plan, coordinate and implement the Chrysalis Academy Youth Hub daily activities in communities.
- Facilitate workshops in communities (fitness programmes, work readiness, computer skills, etc.).
- Regular check-ins with graduates in communities.
- Plan, coordinate and implement community service projects.
- Recruitment of interested youth who wish to join the Academy’s 3-month residential programme.
- Regular monitoring and tracking of the Academy’s graduates.

TRAINING OPERATIONS MANAGER
Partially residential position.
Basic Salary: Commensurate with experience.
Meals, accommodation and uniform will be provided.
Requirements:
- A relevant Bachelor’s Degree and/or extensive (10 years+) relevant experience.
- 3 – 5 years’ staff management experience (+- 25people).

Purpose:
To assist the Academy’s students, residential staff and clients with laundry services.

Purpose:
To ensure that the grounds at Chrysalis Academy are well maintained.
Requirements:
- A certificate in brush cutter or chainsaw is advantageous.
- At least 3 years’ relevant ground maintenance experience (Industrial equipment on huge grounds).
- Brushcutter and chainsaw experience is essential.

MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
(Contract position: R 84 000 per annum)
Purpose:
To provide general maintenance on the Porter Estate.
Requirements:
- A valid matric certificate.
- A certificate in Plumbing, Water Proofing, Painting, Glazing, Electrical and/or Carpentry.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant and appropriate maintenance experience (e.g. plumbing, water proofing, painting, glazing, electrical, carpentry, swimming pool etc.).
- General experience in maintaining large buildings and grounds.
- Driver’s Licence will be advantageous.

Junior Youth Instructor
Salary: R 60 105 PA
Please note: Youth Instructor positions are contractual, residential and includes free accommodation, food and uniform.
Requirements:
- A valid Matric certificate / equivalent.
- A Diploma / certificate in Youth Development, Youth Care, Community Development or Safety in Society is advantageous.

Senior Youth Instructor
Salary: R 99 101 PA
Please note: Youth Instructor positions are contractual, residential and includes free accommodation, food and uniform.
Requirements:
- A valid Matric certificate / equivalent.
- A diploma / certificate in Youth Development, Youth Care, Community Development or Safety in Society is advantageous.

- Youth development experience (working with young adults).
- Completed the Chrysalis Academy’s 3-month Youth Development training programme as a student.
- Previous employment as an Instructor/Intern at the Chrysalis Academy would be advantageous.

- Matric Certificate / Grade 12.
- Completed the Chrysalis Academy’s 3-month residential or 8-week community-based programme.
- Not currently in employment, education or training.

- Passionate about youth work.

ADMINISTRATION CLERK: COMMUNITY LIAISON
Monthly Basic Salary: R76 320 PA
Purpose:
To provide administrative support to the Community Liaison Department.
Requirements
- A valid Grade 12 certificate with a certificate in Office Administration/Computer Studies.
- At least 2 years’ relevant office administration experience.
- Fully competent in computer packages (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Google Workspace). Experience working on a Learner Management System is advantageous.

GENERAL WORKER
(Contract position: R 90 000 per annum)
Purpose:
To provide general support (driving, logistics and basic maintenance) to the logistics department.
Requirements:
- A valid matric certificate or equivalent.
- A valid Code 8 Driver’s Licence is essential. A valid PDP is advantageous.
- At least 5-years’ driving experience.
- A certificate in Plumbing, Waterproofing, Painting, Glazing, Electrical or Carpentry is advantageous.

- General experience in maintaining large buildings and grounds.
