Aftercare & Support Programme

Our Aftercare and Support Programme helps graduates spread their wings a little further as they transition into the workplace.

We offer them tailored support for individual needs and connect them to employment opportunities, learnerships, and volunteer vacancies. This programme empowers young people to build thriving careers while giving back to their communities, long after graduation.

Upon successful completion of the three-month residential programme, all students transition into the Aftercare and Support Programme where:

Experience

Graduates gain valuable hands-on experience in a one-year paid internship with institutions across the Western Cape.

Support

Dedicated Graduate Fieldworkers conduct workplace visits to monitor progress and ensure ongoing support.

Growth

Both graduates and supervisors receive tailored assistance to foster professional growth and success.

Youth Hubs

Inspiring Community Service & Social Responsibility

The Youth Hub is where community engagement takes full effect. Led by passionate Youth Hub Ambassadors (YHAs), the YHs become places where we inspire graduates and non-graduates alike through community service projects and events that foster social responsibility.

The hubs ensure youth have the support they need by offering referrals for psychosocial help and connecting the community to valuable resources.

YHAs also focus on linking individuals with learning and employment opportunities that best suit their skills and potential.

Like the wings of a butterfly, the Youth Hubs help young people spread their influence and grow their skills, benefiting their communities.

Siphelele Sirhayi, a 22 ALPHA graduate, performed so well as an intern that the Overstrand Municipality offered him a three-year employment contract.

Mishka Ntsente, a 22 CHARLIE graduate, is over the moon as she has received a professional chef traineeship at the International Hotel School.
